VIP® Power Supply Units
VIP® Power Supply Units have the fastest melt rates from cold charge to pour.
Because Inductotherm VIP® power supplies have the fastest melt rates in the industry, this allows our customers to melt more per kWh and kVA for lower melting costs and greater productivity. In its standard configuration, our VIP® Power Supply Units include an intelligent digital control board. This control board has fiber-optic connectors for clear signal processing, a bright LED panel system information display and an integral keypad for control and information display entry. All control board functions can be configured via the keypad. Additionally, we offer a variety of power supply options to best suit your requirements, such as our world famous VIP® Power-Trak® units.
Inductotherm also offers hard-state three-phase as well as single-phase power supply units for specific application needs. Our standard VIP® Power Supply Units are also configured for connection to new or existing external deionized (DI) water cooling systems or to available DI water cooling modules. These modules can be attached to the ends of the power supply unit for ease of maintenance and access. With a network of capacitor protection, our units eliminate costly downtime.
Control Options
Melt Shop Control Systems enable you to take control by monitoring and controlling the melt, diagnosing faults, maximizing power usage, minimizing power/fuel charges and performing a variety of tasks. We offer a variety of control system options which include:
- Melt-Manager® Control Systems are our entry level to smart systems that utilize embedded microprocessor controls and provide the operator with melt control modes and diagnostics for analysis and support.
- Melt-Manager® Plus® Control Systems are computer-based applications which provide a higher level of melt automation technology to support furnace melt controls, diagnostic analysis and customer network, and communication interface.
- Meltminder® 300™ Melt Shop Control and Management Systems provide the highest level of melt automation technology to support precise, highly responsive and fully programmable control, which is important to the safe and efficient operation of today’s induction melting equipment.
